More on some of the exciting things that we have been getting up to.
Nathan has been busy busy making me planter boxes for my veggies. It has taken a while. Originally we were going to lay down sleepers and make a big garden, but then we got thinking about if we move we wont be able to take our gardens, making them a bit of a waste of money. Even though we had already acquired the sleepers and had them all set out.
So Nathan whipped up some sweet as planter boxes.

Surprise or not they are actually 44 gallon drums cut in half long ways, then he welded up a frame and screwed on the wood. Neat hey?!
I got in and planted my little veggies with the hope that they will grow faster now that they aren’t restricted to little tiny pots.
We also got a worm farm. Yes you heard right. We have worms!! They are going really well. Though they aren’t really ready for all my kitchen scraps yet, they are still decorating the first floor before they move up a level.

5. I once tryed to get into the army. My own freedom beat my willingness to be posted somewhere I didn’t want to be.
4. I have a real estate licence. I ended up having a family then a high paying career.
3. I cryed as I walked home from the dentist when I was 18 because they gave me a silver filling.
2. Long or ugly toenails grose me out.

I realise that on here I have only mentioned that I am organising my wedding once. While in my day to day life everyone is probably getting sick of hearing about it!
Well I have been busy. I have ordered my dress, sent out save the date post cards, started collecting things I am going to need later and also have started some of the do it myself thing… like my wishing well, and some cute little paper flowers that will go with my table decorations.
This is my wishing well, I picked these two up on sale at spotlight

I had to do a little mending, I think they were torn a little from how they were stored. They were all squashed up on the shelf.

I then cut out the bottom of the top one.
.

I then lined it up how I wanted it placed and traced the cutout onto the top of the bottom box. How confusing was that. I then cut it out and glued them together.

Then I cut the slot in the top for everyone to put their wishes -and money- in for us.
.

.
It still has to be painted and maybe a little decorating, but they are suppose to be vintage travel cases.
I love making stuff.

You don’t get very far. That is how my last couple of weeks have felt.
Although….. I have been busy and I have had a lot going on I just haven’t been able to get the things done that I wanted to.

The last 2 week’s has seen:
~ Nathan work his last day at a mine that made everyone except 18 people out of 200 redundant.
~ Nathan got a new job at a different mine and started 6 days after loosing his job.
~ Nathan trying to get us to move to his home town were the mine is that he is now working in.
~ We spent a great day with our next door neighbours drinking, eating then us girls having our buts kicked in 3 out of 4 games of buzz.
~ Nathan spending the day hungover like his neighbour.
~ Trying on wedding dresses with a good but very pregnant friend.
~ Our Save the Date postcards arrived. I got 30 written out the first night, am now waiting on Nathan to get addresses for the last 20 odd so I can write them out to.
~ Finding about 30 wedding dresses that I love, narrowing it down to 2 over a week with 5 different peoples opinions then finally choosing the ‘one’.
~ Cohen finally getting better only for me to start getting sick. I fought it. I battled. I won.
~ Cohen having his first bad dream, crying emotionally in his sleep. It took me ages to settle him.
~ Seeing the wiggles. Yay. Yes there will be photos to come.
~ The last first birthday of our baby group.
~ A mothers day spent with good friends while Nathan was at work.

Cohen also had fettuccine for the first time. It was yummy and he was to darn cute to not take photos.
