I’m leaving tomorrow at 8.30am and will not be back until the 12th.
This time it is for real.
Not looking forward to the cold but can’t wait to see my family.
Also not looking forward to 3 flights with a 16 month old who doesn’t know how to, and doesn’t want to sit still.

Today is mine and Nathan’s 3 year anniversary.
3 years ago today Nathan took me on our first date. I was up from Brisbane to visit him.
It was a Sunday so the only thing that was open was the botanical gardens.
He was so sweet, and the gardens were beautiful. It was the first time in my memory that I had seen monkeys and gorillas.
His dad made us dinner then we watched TV.
So romantic.
Today. We are in our own house. I’m having cup a soup for dinner. Nathans on night shift an hour and a half away. We have a 16 month old boy. A puppy. 2 birds. And TV is just a noise in the background that sometimes I find the time to watch.
Oh how life has changed. But it has been the best 3 years of my life. I would not turn back in a heart beat.
To my fiancee.
I love you today more then yesterday, and I will love you even more tomorrow. That’s how I know that I will love you forever.
Your not just my partner. Your the half of my heart that makes it beat.
You are what I never knew I always wanted.
I love you boo.

Its been over a week since I last blogged, and there is no excuse.
I have simply been lazy. Not only that, but I have not used my camera in ages except for the quick shot or two of Cohen or Ali. Or both.
I have been keeping my self busy with wedding stuff and wishing that winter will blow over. And since I hate the wind, I hope it happens quickly.
I am sick of the cold.
Cohen has been trying to bust out 4 canine teeth all at once with no success. His poor gums are so swollen and red. I think they are hurting him so much that he doesn’t even have the energy to be in a bad mood like his usual teething episodes. He just wants cuddles and doesn’t want to leave our arms.
And since Nathan works away half the time, those arms are my arms, and after 5 days and nights on your own, I start to loose all empathy let-a-lone the feeling in those arms!!
The poor little guy. By the time Nathan gets home its like a breath of fresh air for me, and of course its someone new for Cohen to play with so he becomes the happy little boy that we love and then Nathan has to go back to work and the cycle starts again.
Oh how I wish these teeth would make an appearance so we can all get back to normal life.

Yesterday we picked up our little puppy boxer. She is adorable.
Her name is Ali, pronounced Arlee. Like Muhammad Ali….. the boxer……. get it…… OK OK bad joke, you might be rolling your eyes but I know you have a grin on your face.
She has a brown coat and a white head with brown spots over it.
My ‘no-dogs-allowed-inside’ partner has turned into the biggest softy. She is his little girl. As I write this she is laying on the couch beside him asleep.
Cohen absolutely loves her, he laughs and laughs at her when she licks his fingers.
She follows him around the yard getting up to no good.
Today Cohen has learnt a lot from and about Ali.
He has learnt;
~ that dogs eat and drink from bowls.
~ that when he sticks his head in Ali’s food and water bowls – yes he tried both the water and the milk soaked biscuits – it doesn’t work the same, even when he is doing the same tongue action as Ali.
~ that dog food doesn’t taste that good but the canned food is nice and squishy.
~ that Ali doesn’t eat strawberry’s or mandarin even when you try to shove it in her mouth.
~ that dogs don’t drink from sippy cups.
~ that milk soaked biscuits are fun to stomp in in your gumboots.
~ that you can sit in a water bowl.
I have learnt today that Cohen can go through 4 sets of clothes in one day.
I didn’t get much time to take photos today so this will do till next time.
