Today she is 4 weeks old, and those four weeks have gone by way to fast.

I do love the little stage she is in now though, more alert, more awake, smiling, reaching for things, holding tightly to our fingers, it is beautiful watching her learn.

She already looks for her brother when he is about, and watches him with lots of interest, I think she wil be a little tag along sister when she is older.

Cohen is loving being a big brother too. He dotes on her all the time and lets her know that he is home, or in the room. We are so proud of him for taking it all in his stride, not that we expected any less.

Here is the gorgesness that is our little Ruby Havana at age 2 weeks.

She was born 6 pound 3 ounces and 52 cm.

~ coming home with new things that you have learnt from kindy

~ meeting new friends

~ deciding you are all grown up

~ breaking mummy and daddy’s heart each time we realise just how much you have grown up.

The bassinet is set up beside our bed, we have nappies ready, newborn clothes washed. our hospital and labour bags are being packed, and just about every book on birthing has been read.

Now we just wait.

While waiting though we are doing everything we can to help our breech baby turn, that includes chiro, accupunture, moxibustion, watching tv on all 4′s a few times a day, and some other crazy pose where I have my knees on the couch and elbows on the floor.

I think though that if this baby wants to turn, it is going to turn in its own time, despite everything we do to move the process along.

We just hope it happens before the birth or we will be naturally delivering a breech with the hope of no complications.

How ever much pain you put your mumma through, or how ever spectacular the entrance you want to make into this world, we still love you with all our selves and can’t wait to meet you, kiss you, hug you, and watch your beautiful self grow. x

We get them printed through Blurb. They are great and not so expensive that I have to worry about little finger prints.

Cohen loves our albums. He loves to look through his baby photos.

Its such a great way to have your images in print without covering the walls.

This year we have started what will be a tradition. It was Cohen’s first year of school – kindy – so we sat down and asked him some questions.

They are the proud owners of B & K Rawlinson Plumbing, and Kellie is lucky enough to have parents that live on a gorgeous old farm where we went for their shoot.

I had such a great day, and Lachlan was so much fun considering he started out very unsure.

Thank you so much for letting me spend a couple of hours with you both Kellie and Brad. And Lachlan, I tell you, those eyes will get the girls!!

So what have we been up to while I have been missing from my blog?

Well one thing is that last weekend we travelled down to Brisbane for a very busy, fun couple of days away.

We visited Sea World, hubby drove a V8 Race car, Cohen explored Surfers Paradise, we caught up with family, and we ate way to much.

It was fantastic, and we cant wait to do it all again.

Where has the time gone, I swear it wasnt 3 and a half years since I had a little new born.

I know people say that all the time, but it is true. For every one of us.

Day in day out your life is busy. Cleaning the house, washing clothes, making breakfast, lunch, dinner or all the snacks in between. Making beds, going to swimming lessons, tripping over toys, reading story books or playing cars. Theres always something. Than, every now and then, time stops and you see a little boy standing there, and wonder where he came from. He cant be the one who was not long ago drinking from a bottle, pulling everything out of the kitchen draws, or wobbling around trying to master a few steps. And then you realise that time has gone. It is the same little boy. He just isn’t so little any more. And in the next moment to come, you want to cry from time gone to fast mixed with proudness that he is such a great little guy, so you sweep him up, tickle his little neck, kiss his freckles and promise never to forget to take this moment more often.

I am so proud of our little guy, and though I miss his cute little babyness, I wouldn’t trade him for anything else or any other time. I just want to soak up as much as I can, and be there for every step of the way. Even the first step out the door for Kindy.
